According to a flyer distributed throughout the neighborhood earlier this week, the Woodbrook Community Association will hold a picnic and election of officers on Sunday, September 20, 2009 in the Woodbrook Elementary School cafeteria. This will be the first WCA election of officers in five years.
Local elected officials and their opponents have been invited.
The Woodbrook Community Association is providing fried chicken, baked pasta and drinks. Neighbors are invited to bring a dish to share (an entree or dessert). Lunch is planned for 2:30 pm to 3:30 p.m. with the main agenda beginning at approximately 3:30 p.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.
Woodbrook Elementary School Principal Dr. William Sterrett will speak about the new cinder track around the school’s field. There will also be a neighborhood meeting to discuss how you want your community association run and to elect new officers.
Repeated attempts by The Woodbrook Neighborhood Blog to obtain information from the WCA regarding the election including a list of the current officers, candidates and association by-laws were unsuccessful.
Neighbors are reminded that association dues are $10 per household and can be brought to the picnic.
